Lust in Love

Original Writing

I hope you remember all the good that came out of us. I think it was love, it certainly wasn’t lust. Lust would’ve been the taste of your lips in the moonlight, but I loved the feeling I’d get deep in my stomach when I’d trace my thumb over your bottom lip. I loved the brightness in your eyes after I kissed your fingertips. I don’t think lust covers that.

6 Shots of Tequila

Original Poetry

6 shots of tequila.
I’m somewhere between couldn’t be more alive
and on the doorstep of death – with the door wide open.
My mind is blank, quite like the look in my eyes when you desperately shake me conscious.
I’m sorry, you set me alight
but didn’t stay behind to douse the flames
when I burned greater than anticipated.
You never came back
for the ashes.

Constellations of Love

Original Poetry

Look up at the stars tonight.
I hope you feel something
As your standing underneath an illumination of infinite wishes.
And when you look up tonight,
know that we are standing under the same blanket of diamonds.
And when you look up tonight,
know that I will always love you.
