Lord of The Flies: Oh, Ralph
Original WritingRalph was the epitome of weakness – superficial and mean. He mocked the spiritual and the wise, and was blissfully unaware of his identity from the moment he landed on the island. He craved the respect of barbaric leaders yet desperatly desired control over everyone and everything. He became the beast when his ignorance and uncertainty made him a coward, and yet he somehow escaped the hands of death almost enitrely unscathed. He only embraced maturity with open arms when death looked him in the eyes and taunted him.
Ralph’s innocence and nativity died only when the others did.

6 Shots of Tequila
Original Poetry6 shots of tequila.
I’m somewhere between couldn’t be more alive
and on the doorstep of death – with the door wide open.
My mind is blank, quite like the look in my eyes when you desperately shake me conscious.
I’m sorry, you set me alight
but didn’t stay behind to douse the flames
when I burned greater than anticipated.
You never came back
for the ashes.

You weren’t the angel I thought I knew.
Silence Will Unite Us
Original PoetrySilence will bring us together
when the noise does nothing
but threaten to tear us apart.

No One
Original WritingI would die for you, but I live for no one.
Death’s Door
Original WritingWhen you’re at death’s door and the IV drips are embedded into your veins, suddenly you realise you’ve never seen as many prayers and tears inside one building. A hospital ward becomes a church, with cries of anguish as the holy choir.
