God’s Gift

Original Writing

I believe God makes us companions on this lonely planet. Whether they be romantic or platonic, we have a companion destined to enter our lives from the second we begin our own. Sometimes they stay, sometimes they go but ultimately, they change our lives forever.

And they never truly leave us.

Transcendence

Original Writing

I don’t believe in the universe conspiring to bring anyone together. There are no stars watching over us, nor are they pulling us toward each other. We are either the missing piece in each other’s puzzle of a soul, or we’re not. Our love does not, will not, transcend this earth.

“Some consequence yet hanging in the stars”

Original Writing

I believe that people are chosen for us, to be a part of our lives for a reason. I don’t believe in mere chance happenings and coincidences: I refuse to accept that we struggle through our darkest hours with someone, just because we came together as a result of an accidental meeting. Or, a relationship you fight for, for years on end cannot be with just anyone. We were meant to meet the ones we hold dear. If this is fate, then I’m happy with the way my life panned out. I may not have seen it before, but fate was on my side. Thank goodness.
