‘Healing’

My heart sings for you from a distance
searching for you through existence.
Time unfolds.

Sharing the past like floodgates open
for the first time in a long time awaken.
Happiness unfolds.

Hope blossoms in a terrifying way
watching scenes unfold as if from a play.
Contentment unfolds.

The knowledge of fate’s cruel hand
holds fear of the unplanned.
Trepidation unfolds.

Always there invisible yet strong
you guide me with your singsong.
Strength unfolds.

The healing started
you know not when.
But then –

Goddess of Golden Hair

In the end
She was she
And I was I.
I couldn’t show her
I loved her
No matter how hard
I tried.
She thought I didn’t care
Despite protests of despair
And I couldn’t change her mind
That goddess of golden hair.
I soon grew to learn
Trust is something you earn
And she lost that in me
So she left me there to yearn.
I broke her heart in two
Something I didn’t intend to do,
And now I’ve lost the love
I knew was too good to be true.
