First and Foremost

The one moral in life
I’ll pass onto my children
is something I so desperately
failed to do myself;
live for yourself,
first and foremost.

Appreciate The Good

I often question my morals.
I often wonder why I believe so strongly
In certain things
Such as
Abortion
Racism
Feminism
Equality
War.
And then I challenge my morals
And understand the questions I ask myself.
We’re always taught to believe in good
And outcast the bad.
But we never think,
The only way we can have faith in good
Is by understanding
And accepting
The bad.
Stepping outside the box,
Colouring outside the line.
Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone
Opens up a whole new world
In one’s mind.
And then,
Only then,
Will you appreciate your belief in
The good.
