Silence of the Living

Original Poetry
I grew used to the
sound of his voice
in the morning and
before he went to sleep.
Now I crave his
silence.
I used to complain
about the fickle nature
of man’s heart,
yet here I am.
I fell out of love.
Or rather, I jumped
from that window
voluntarily.
