Moving House 2015!

Original Writing

I’m moving house!

I’ve lived in London since I was 1 years old, so as far as I’m concerned, I’m a Londoner born and raised. In a matter of months, I’ll be moving into the countryside, down south, and I have to admit, the whole concept is very mind-boggling. Everything I know and love is in London, so to move an hour and a half (by train) away from it all is quite sad; travelling is something that I’ve never really had to do all that often as everything is practically on my doorstep. Going from a 30 minute journey to an hour and a half’s journey into the city is always going to be challenging, but there are so many positives with the moving process, too.

I’m thinking of this as a brand new chapter to my life, and I’m incredibly excited to start it. Fresh air, open space and a larger house are amongst the bonus points of moving, which makes me realise how lucky I am to be able to move. My parents are suffering from the most of the stress: solicitors relaying documents, sending applications, mortgages etc. it makes me realise how much I have yet to learn before I jump ship in a few years’ time!

Nevertheless, I am over the moon to be moving into such a beautiful location, and to have a stunning house is a luxury, indeed. Spending time with people, having a job and getting to and from university is something I’ll have to work on, but all in all, I couldn’t be happier to have found such a perfect home to move into.

Not long to go, now!
