The Winter of 2015

Original Writing

This winter has been a cold one, with a sharp chill in the air, a breeze that shocks your system with such low temperatures. A white coating of dusting on the footpath every couple of days, with a 5 year olds footprint disturbing the cool sheet of nature. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, the sun peeks out and blushes its warmth on us for a limited period of time, suddenly immensely improving our moods. Isn’t it odd, how a season can change the way we think? That a season can control our state of mind? This winter has been a cold one, but it’s also been a heavy, stretched-out one. Spring is upon us and through all the hardship the winter has brought us, the good is finally, almost here
