The Darkest Hour

Original Poetry

I pleaded with him
To protect me from the darkness
Outside my door.
I pleaded for him to promise
To never leave me
In my worst hours.
I pleaded with him to save me
From the monster underneath
My bed.
He was the darkness.
He was my worst hour.
He was the monster
Underneath my bed.
