A Kick In The Face

Original Poetry

You weren’t proud to call me yours.
It embarrassed you to do certain things with me,
And you couldn’t say certain words to me because you didn’t feel it right to say them.
You weren’t proud to have me at all.
Instead, you were more proud of them, than you were of me.
A stab in the back,
A kick in the face,
A punch in the heart.
those are all I ever felt when I was without you.
