The Memory of the Future

I look forward to the life
We will share together.
Waking up on a Sunday morning,
Running my fingers through your air,
Whilst the air is still chilled with a
Winter’s sharp edge.
Most people want to
Travel the world
With the love of their life,
A more appealing thought
Is travelling through the
Depths of your mind,
And tracing a loving fingertip
Over the memories of our journey.
The taste of our love
Still lingers
On my lips,
Even after the taste of
Your mouth has left me.
The lull of your heartbeat,
A dreamy symphony,
Will drag me into the depths of
Slumber with you,
Until we repeat again
The very next day.
Our love
Will conquer all,
My dear.
